P.T. International (PTI) is pleased to now offer Mounted Bearing Training. The training includes three hands-on training stations: The Four Shaft Attachment Methods – An Overview Spherical Roller Bearings – Where, Why and How? SAF Blocks Overview – Assembly & Installation Each station is designed to be highly interactive so all students will have the opportunity to see and handle parts for a better understanding of how all components work together. This new training program is currently offered at PTI Headquarters (Charlotte, NC) as well as throughout North and South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Station #1 – The Four Shaft Attachment Methods- An Overview See for yourself the differences between the four shaft attachment methods for mounted ball bearings: Setscrew Locking, Eccentric Locking Collar, Concentric Clamp Collar, and Tapered Adapter Sleeve. Gain an in-depth understanding of how each attaches to the shaft and when it’d make more sense to use one method vs. another. Station #2 – Spherical Roller Bearings – Where, Why and How? When would it be best to use Mounted Spherical Bearings vs. Mounted Ball Bearings vs. SAF Blocks? And what’s the difference between tapered and spherical roller bearings? Learn answers to these questions and more while you help attach the housings to a plate and tighten them onto a shaft. Station #3 – SAF Blocks Overview – Assembly & Installation If you haven’t ever assembled an SAF block onto the shaft from start to finish, now’s your chance. This station will also review the components and features of SAF blocks and seal options. Please note: Small groups of six or less per station are recommended to maximize the hands-on experience. Flexible half-day and full-day training options are available, and all stations include product handouts with more helpful information. Need one more reason to book your session today?
