Industrial fans and blowers are used in many industries. Their primary function is to generate a large, continuous flow of air or gas necessary for many processes including ventilation, heating or cooling, combustion, exhaust, drying, air cleaning and more. Fans and blowers are used across many industries including food processing, power generation, cement production and mining, just to name a few. Bearings used on fans and blowers often operate at high speeds and relatively light loads, and are sometimes used in extreme temperatures (high or low) and remote locations.
PTI offers a wide range of products to meet the demands of HVAC and air handling industry applications (fans, blowers, heating equipment, cooling towers, etc.). Our “AH” series “Air Handling” mounted ball bearings allow for reduced noise levels and are a slip fit, held in place with a low profile retaining ring. All bearings are tested to “EMQ” (electric motor quality) vibration levels. PTI rugged cast iron housings feature a webbed base design for added strength and are individually matched with inserts to allow for mounting on light steel and aluminum frames without damaging the bearing or the mounting structure during operation. Final assembly of each PTI air handling mounted ball bearing unit is done at our facility in Charlotte, NC and each unit is certified for use in air handling applications. PTI also offers a full range of mounted spherical roller bearings for use on fans and blowers, including our unit-housed SR2200 series and an assortment of split pillow blocks (inch shafts) and plummer blocks (metric shafts).
